Jerry Sadowitz – Whitehall Theatre, Dundee

American-born Scott Jerry Sadowitz is one of the world’s most infamous purveyors of black comedy. This is the man who considers Bernard Manning the good cop to his bad cop, and once said “politically incorrect comedy is no genre: it’s me, and it’s been ripped off by loads and loads of comics”. He has a point: in 2007 he was voted the 15th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups.

In addition to his comedy, Sadowtiz is an expert of close-up magic and sleight of hand ticks. In 2007 The Times called him a “world-class close-up magician.”
